"Designing the World Cup" is a summary of 4 years of visual and cultural research about the connection between Football and the FIFA World Cup Tournament. In that project, I put together my opening XI: 11 stories where The World Cup tournament and the World of art and design meet each other. I performed this talk in front of big audiences, companies communities, and public places during the days of the 2022 World Cup.
Up here, 2 videos from the biggest event I participated in during the 2022 World Cup: watching Event in the Public Library of Tel-Aviv.
On the left Video, you can hear one of the main items in the talk: "The Derby of Pepsi and Coca-Cola". This is one of the greatest rivalries in the history of the World Cup. Those two commercial giants bring massive marketing campaigns before the tournament and are very dominant in that area during and before the World Cup.
On the right, "The legend of Maradona", the man that the World Cup was not the same without him. Diego maradona presence in the areas of arts and design, especially street art is one of the most interesting places to explore the connection between football and the art world.
Talk in front of the people of "Lemonade" Company.
On the left "the importance and legacy of the World Cup trophy. On the right "the story of the World Cup mascot".
On the right: "The history of the World Cup trophy" Item during the podcast "Let's Talk Football".
on the left: "Mexico 70 logo- where it all started" from the opening talk of my tour in "the SOHO house" in Jaffa.
Some examples of slide designs and visuals I created for the presentation of the lecture.
Every slide contained information about the chapter we are currently in, the specific topic the slide talks about and a timeline component of the year we are talking about.
At the end of every chapter the "lineup slide" appeared on the screen to give a good indication to the audience of where we are right now and what the next topic is.
The Presentation of the talk was built in order to be dynamic and fit the audience I am talking in front of. in general, in every lecture, I presented 11 chapters that were shown as a match lineup, but every time I had 9 other chapters "on the bench" that I could shuffle and make a "substitution" if I felt that it would fit more for the specific crowd in front of me.
