"Outside-the-box" cards are graphic representatives of moments from the history of football.
The format, the designs and the aesthetics of football shirts always fascinated me. In early 2023, I started digitally paint the greatest football moments of my life.
This is research after typography, colors, textures, and emotional moments people can connect to only from a glance at a simple number. To this day I created over 800 different designs of those.
Each of those shirts, which is a source of inspiration for the creation of the cards, consists of layers, textures and colors as well as different types of typography. In the creative process, I deconstruct these layers into atoms and rebuild the shirt that represents a certain moment on a flat format
These cards have become real printed products with actual emotional value for people. Football fans can find themselves and their best moments in them, they pick cards and save them as a souvenir.
In May 2023 the first collaboration with a major football club came to life and gave birth to the "Borussia Dortmund collection": A branded package for the official Fanclub "Israeliche borussen" and its members.
In the stadium fans swapped cards between them and left them as stickers on their seats. Even people who have nothing to do with sports or football take them and keep them just because they find them beautiful.
